The PSOE has been the winner in number of votes in the regional elections held this Sunday. The socialists have swept Castilla-La Mancha and Extremadura, in addition to winning in Castilla y León, the Canary Islands, Aragon and Asturias. However, Podemos' discreet results will prevent Pedro Sánchez's party from taking the Community of Madrid from the PP. Pablo Casado's PP has recovered part of the vote lost in the general elections and stopped the rise of Ciudadanos, giving up less power than expected. Pedro Sánchez's PSOE has emerged strengthened from the May 26 elections by becoming the most voted force in 10 of the 12 autonomies that held elections this Sunday.

However, the PP will remain at the head of the governments of the Community of Madrid, Castilla y León and Murcia in the event of reaching an agreement with Ciudadanos and Vox. The socialists managed to dye the map of Spain red in both the European and regional and municipal elections . The victory of the PSOE has been incontestable in Castilla-La Mancha Sweden Mobile Number List and Extremadura, with absolute majorities for Emiliano García-Page and Guillermo Fernández Vara, but in other places the votes that victory will not translate into autonomous governments, in most cases due to the disaster suffered by Podemos . A place that seemed to fall in favor of the left 24 years later but that, finally, will remain under the orders of Isabel Díaz Ayuso whenever the popular ones are understand with Ciudadanos and Vox, that despite not increasing the percentage of votes compared to the general elections, it will be the key to governability in some autonomies and municipalities. Yes, there will be a historic change in La Rioja, where the PSOE will govern with an absolute majority if it gets the support of Podemos after 24 years of PP. That is one of the most visible color changes  on this map that shows the evolution of autonomous governments in Spain since the Transition . The regional governments have been changing throughout these decades largely driven by the tailwinds of successive general elections, as has now happened with Pedro Sánchez and his PSOE .
