Valentín Cortés DomínguezLaw
On September 5, 1947, professor and lawyer expert in Procedural Law Valentín Cortés Domínguez was born in Granada .He studied in his hometown, first at the Padre Suárez Institute and, later, at the Faculty of Law of the University of Granada, obtaining his bachelor's degree in 1969. Later, he moved to Bologna where, sponsored Email Data by Evelio Verdera (E&J of 05/22/2023), he took a position at the Royal College of San Clemente de los Españoles and, in 1971, he obtained the degree of doctor with his thesis: L'inversioni convenzionale dell'onere della prova , under the direction of the prestigious Tito Carnacini , rector of l'Alma Mater Studiorum, State University of Bologna.
He began teaching at the University of Granada, then at the Autonomous University of Madrid and the University of Extremadura. In 1981, she obtained the Chair of Procedural Law at the University of Malaga and, later and for 35 years until his retirement, at the Autonomous University of Madrid.

He practiced law, first, in the Granada office that his father Matías Cortés Martín , also a professor of Procedural Law, had founded, and later, in Madrid with his brother Matías (E&J of 02/19/2023). His passion for law has led him to write several treatises on Criminal Procedure Law and Civil Procedure Law, several of them in collaboration with fellow proceduralist Víctor Manuel Moreno Catena .
